3D printing to develop solid lipid-based formulations
The use of three-dimensional printing (3DP) in the development of pharmaceutical dose forms is growing rapidly. However, the studies are exclusively focused on polymer-based systems and very little is known on 3DP for lipid-based formulations. Thus, 3DP was implemented to explore the feasibility of 3DP technology for the development of solid lipid-based formulations.
