Main functionalities

At a low dose (1 to 3%), Compritol® E ATO can be used as a lubricant for tablet or hard capsule dosage forms.

At a higher dose (10-20%), Compritol® E ATO can be used as a modified-release agent to ensure a ‘once daily’ dose, ideal to increase compliance and product efficacy.

Examples of dietary ingredients that can be formulated include hydrophilic vitamins, minerals, plant extracts, probiotics.

Main formulation technologies

As a lubricant, Compritol® E ATO is added to the final mix just before compression.

As a sustained-release agent, Compritol® E ATO is added at the beginning of the formulation processes, such as granulation (hot or wet) or hot-melt extrusion.
